Production Methods

Aluminum circles can be produced using two main methods:

All 1xxx series alloys (1050, 1060, 1100, 1200) are classified as pure aluminum with purity above 99% and are food-grade, making them suitable for cookware and kitchen utensils.

CC vs. DC: Understanding the Difference

Aluminum circles are manufactured from either Continuous Casting (CC) or Direct Chill (DC) rolled coils. The choice between them has a significant impact on deep drawing performance.

Key Selection Guidance:

  • For spinning cookware: CC material is recommended.
  • For deep drawing (pressing) with depth exceeding 150mm: DC material is preferred to avoid cracking and ensure proper forming. 

Both CC and DC materials in O temper (annealed soft state) have excellent deep drawing performance. 3003 alloy, in particular, provides better strength and fracture resistance for demanding cookware applications.

Available Die Sizes

We maintain a wide range of standard die sizes for aluminum circles. The thickness range for die-cut circles is 0.4 mm to 4 mm, and our die inventory covers diameters from 30 mm to 1360 mm. Standard sizes are typically available in 5mm increments.

Q: What is the flatness tolerance?
Our aluminum circles are produced strictly according to international standards: GB/T 3880, EN 485, and ASTM B209. Flatness, thickness, and diameter tolerances meet these standard requirements.

Q: Are these suitable for deep drawing?
Yes, both 3003 and 1050 CC materials in O temper are suitable for deep drawing. 3003 is recommended for products requiring higher strength or pressure resistance.

Q: Do you have ISO and ROHS certification?
Yes. We hold ISO 9001:2015 certification. Our aluminum discs are ROHS compliant, and we can provide third-party test reports (SGS / TÜV / BV) upon request. We also accept third-party inspections arranged by customers.

Q: What is the difference between pure aluminum alloys?
All four alloys (1050, 1060, 1100, 1200) are pure aluminum with over 99% purity. The main differences are in impurity levels and resulting properties. 1060 offers the highest purity and elongation. 1050 is the most common grade. 1100 offers higher strength, and 1200 provides good corrosion resistance and weldability. All are food-grade.
