For example, if the purity of aluminum is over 99%, it is alloy 1000 series, the grade is like 1050, 1100, 1060, 1070, etc. If the aluminum contents Magnesium, it will be 5000 series aluminum, the grade is like 5052,5754,5083,5005, ect. So we can make an conclusion that the chemical composition determine the grade of aluminum.
